STEPHEN C. HAMILTON, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

​Dr. Hamilton received both his undergraduate and medical school degrees from Duke University before completing his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Iowa. After practicing in Cincinnati, OH and Kilmarnock, VA he moved to Annapolis and joined the practice in 1991. He most values family time with his three children, but also enjoys boating and a wide variety of outdoor sports including snow and waterskiing, rowing and cycling.

Dr. Hamilton believes that a healthy lifestyle and taking the time to build good mental health are the cornerstones to one's general well-being, and he tries to emphasize preventative medicine in his approach to patient care.

TITUS C. ABRAHAM, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Titus Abraham obtained his medical degree from the University of Maryland in 1998 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Baltimore VAMC. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, which focuses on adult patients' holistic care. Although genes play an important role, he believes that a moderate diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, spirituality, and healthy social relationships are necessary for optimal health. His expertise is in the management of medically complex patients, including, but not limited to, those with hypertension, heart disease, chronic lung disease, and diabetes.

KATHERINE J. ANDERSON, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Anderson grew up in Laurel, Maryland. After graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School she went on to get her Bachelor of Science at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After college she was happy to return to Maryland to attend medical school at the University of Maryland. She stayed on at The University of Maryland and completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2011. She joined AIM shortly thereafter in August 2011.  Dr. Anderson enjoys the diversity of practicing general Internal Medicine and also has special interests in infectious diseases and gastrointestinal disorders.

RITA J. SHKULLAKU, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Shkullaku grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She then went on to receive a B.A. in British and American Literature at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, followed by her medical degree at Loma Linda University. After medical school Dr. Shkullaku decided she was away from home long enough and returned to Maryland. She completed her residency in internal medicine and served as Primary Care Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.   She joined AIM in July 2013.

Dr. Shkullaku has a special interest in obesity and nutrition with an emphasis on preventative medicine. She spends her free time cooking, traveling, running and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

JENNIFER L. CUHRAN, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Cuhran grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania about an hour north of Pittsburgh. She is a proud Penn Stater having earned her B.S. at Penn State University in 2006. She went on to receive her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2010. She then stayed at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center to complete her residency in Internal Medicine in 2013, and she's been at Annapolis Internal Medicine ever since. Dr. Cuhran genuinely believes in getting to know each and every patient as a person in order to provide him/her with the best possible medical care, and she strives to partner with each patient to develop his/her own personalized plan for success. 

She lives in Arnold with her husband and two daughters where they enjoy boating, watersports, hiking, soccer, hockey, and classic rock music.

TIMOTHY G. WOODS, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. Woods is a Pennsylvania native and attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital located in Pittsburgh, PA. After residency Dr. Woods entered active duty with the USAF and provided medical support for the 509th Bomb Wing located in Missouri. He finished his tour of active duty in 2000 and in 2001 he came to Maryland to start his career in Internal Medicine. He served as Chief of Medicine and a Hospitalist for AAMC  for 14 years, then joined AIM in 2015.
Dr. Woods believes the doctor-patient relationship is an important cornerstone of good health throughout life. 

Dr. Woods, his wife, their children, and the family’s Chesapeake Bay retriever currently live in Gambrills, MD. ​                                                                                                                   Back to the top

PATRICIA PLAN-O'NEILL, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

Dr. O’Neill is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and earned her BS in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. After conducting research at the University of Pittsburgh, she attended West Virginia University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2012 after being named Senior Resident of the Year. Dr. O’Neill worked as a Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center for four years prior to joining AIM in 2016.

Dr. O’Neill lives in Severna Park with her husband where they spend their free time traveling, entertaining family and friends, and playing music.

ANDRE S. COLACO, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE

After graduating from medical school in India in 1998 Dr. Colaco immigrated to the United States and was involved with medical research for several years in Arkansas. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine At Unity Hospital which is affiliated with the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York in 2008. He joined Anne Arundel Medical Center as a hospitalist in 2008 and was a hospitalist there for the last 10 years, before joining AIM in 2018. Dr. Colaco enjoys taking on the challenges offered by the pathology seen across the breadth of Internal Medicine. He believes in involving his patients in a culture of shared decision-making and working with them as a team in order to help them achieve their best health potential. Dr. Colaco lives in the area with his wife and 2 daughters and they enjoy traveling. Dr. Colaco is also a movie buff and a cricket enthusiast.

KIRTI MALHOTRA, M.D. - INTERNAL MEDICINE 

Dr. Malhotra graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in 2012 and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2015. She has worked at AAMC as a Medical Hospitalist providing exceptional care. She joined AIM in March 2020. She is an accomplished physician having co-authored a chapter on The Metabolic syndrome in a prominent medical journal.*Areas of interest -metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and heart disease focusing on nutrition and lifestyle education along with preventative medicine. Dr. Malhotra lives in Clarksville with her husband and daughter and enjoys traveling the world, painting, reading novels, and spending time with friends and family.

WYNN BOYLE, C.R.N.P. - DIABETES EDUCATOR

Wynn Boyle was born in New York City, but moved to Annapolis at the age of two. Her 10th grade biology class was when she knew she wanted to be a nurse. She obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University and worked for six years with acutely ill children flown in from around the world to be treated at JHH. With an interest in teaching, Wynn went back to school at University of Maryland for a Masters in Nursing Education. With an interest in nutrition and diabetes, Wynn also became certified as diabetes educator. She taught at University of Maryland and then at Anne Arundel Community College for many years: taking students into the hospitals throughout Baltimore and Annapolis. With a desire to provide comprehensive care to individual patients and to specialize more in diabetes, Wynn went back to school again to receive a post Masters certificate in adult primary care at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She became board certified as an adult primary care nurse practitioner in 2000, and continued to maintain her certification as diabetes educator. At AIM, you can find Wynn providing comprehensive care, focusing on diabetes education and management and nutritional counseling for hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and weight loss. She has worked closely with the primary care doctors to coordinate care and help patients live a healthier life through changes in attitude, diet and exercise. Wynn currently resides in Annapolis with her husband, and loves spending time and traveling with her children and grandchildren., especially traveling out west, exploring islands in the Caribbean and vacationing at their beach house in Dewey Beach, Delaware.

​HEIDI MARCOZZI, C.R.N.P.

Heidi got her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania, where she also played on their women’s basketball team. She then moved to Washington, DC and worked with the acutely ill in several of the capitol’s busiest Emergency Departments as an RN. During her time there, she found a passion for caring for victims of sexual assault. She then pursued a certification in forensic nursing and provided medical forensic care for victims of violence in addition to her ER career. Later, Heidi obtained her Master’s in Public Health and Master’s of Science in Nursing at Johns Hopkins University. After spearheading and working as DC’s Intimate Partner Violence Program Coordinator for DC Forensic Nurses, she missed interacting with patients and providing comprehensive health care. Heidi then obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate from George Washington University. She enjoys traveling, being physically active and spending time with her family.  Heidi joined the team in October 2015.

MANDY McNAMARA, C.R.N.P. - LEAD NURSE PRACTITIONER - AIM CLINIC

Mandy grew up in Anne Arundel County. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2008, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Mandy is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor’s Society. After graduation, she pursued a career at the University of Maryland Medical Center as a nurse and senior leader in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit for 8 years. Determined to further her career, in 2013, Mandy went back for her Master’s Degree as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Prior to her work at Annapolis Internal Medicine, she served as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner for Hospice of the Chesapeake, with special interest in end-of-life and symptom management. Mandy enjoys traveling, warm weather and spending time with her family & friends. 

Mandy joined AIM in November 2016 and has served as our Lead Nurse Practitioner in our Clinic since 2022.

MARGARET "MAGGIE" WILSON, C.R.N.P. - PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER

Maggie grew up in Arnold, Maryland. She went on to attend the University of Virginia where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner since 2018. Prior to that, Maggie worked as an ICU nurse for six years. She and her husband lived in Charlottesville before returning home to the Annapolis area to be closer to their families. Maggie grew up with parents in the healthcare field and her husband works in the cardiac ICU at UMMC as a nurse. She has particular interest in the management of diabetes, obesity, and preventative care. She enjoys running, playing tennis, exercising, entertaining her pets, reading, and sewing.  Maggie has been with the AIM team since July 2020.

CARA J. HERMAN, PA-C - PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER

Cara received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006. After working for couple of years as a research technician she decided to pursue a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies which she completed at Arcadia University in 2010. Since graduation she has worked in several specialties, including allergy/asthma, neurology/neurosurgery, and cardiology before ultimately practicing general medicine as a hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center and now in the outpatient primary care setting. The thing she loves most about her work is having an opportunity to educate her patients. When she’s not working she enjoys traveling, a variety of music, cooking, and baking. She lives in Crofton with her husband and twin daughters.  Cara joined AIM in January 2020.

KRISTIN LUTZ, C.R.N.P - PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER

Kristin was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Advent Health University in December 2016. She then became an emergency room nurse and worked at a trauma center in Daytona Beach, Florida. She also was a travel nurse which brought her to Maryland back in 2020. She moved to Maryland full time in 2021 and now resides in the Edgewater area. While traveling, she graduated summa cum laude from Advent Health University again in 2021 when she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree. She enjoys running, boating/sailing, playing with her 3 dogs, and crafting. She is also an active member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  Kristin joined the AIM team in August 2022.

KELSEY WUEST, C.R.N.P.

Kelsey grew up local to the area. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Vermont in 2016 while captaining their field hockey team. She moved back to the area and persued a critical care nursing career in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at University of Maryland Medical Center. She remained there for five years, becoming the lead Infection Preventionist for the unit, as well as a Senior Clinical Nurse. Kelsey completed Duquesne University’s Family Nurse Practiitioner program in August 2021 to obtain her Masters of Science degree. Kelsey currently resides in Severna Park with her husband, son, and standard poodle. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys field hockey, any activity on the water, family time and traveling.  Kelsey joined AIM in January 2022.

ALEXANDRA "ALI" ARNOLD, C.R.N.P.

Alexandra “Ali” was born and raised in the Annapolis area. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing in May 2012. She has practiced as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical floor at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, and later, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. She additionally worked as a travel RN, taking assignments in Texas, California, and on the eastern shore of MD. She later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program, and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University in November 2018. Prior to joining Annapolis Internal Medicine, Ali practiced as a nurse practitioner on the palliative care team at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Ali has a special interest in educating patients on preventive health and also assisting patients with managing and coping with chronic illnesses. Ali enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her husband and two sons.  Ali joined the AIM Clinic team in May 2022.

KAYLA McGARVEY, C.R.N.P.

Kayla grew up in Queen Anne's County. She went on to attend University of Maryland and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing with high honors. After graduation, she worked in the ICU caring for critically ill patients at University of Maryland Medical Center in Downtown Baltimore. Additionally she worked as a travel ICU nurse throughout many hospitals in Maryland and Washington D.C. She later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Chamberlain University based out of Chicago in 2023. She loves doing anything outdoors, hiking, being on the water, and spending time with family. She is passionate about traveling and has a goal to visit every continent. Some of her favorite trips include backpacking Australia, Thailand, Europe, and New Zealand. She aspires to do a medical mission trip in the near future.  Kayla joined the AIM team in December 2023.

                                                                                                                                        DANIELE "NIKKI" JOHNSON, C.R.N.P.


Nikki was born and raised in the Glen Burnie, MD area. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2011. She started her nursing career at Anne Arundel Medical Center as a bedside nurse. She then became a flex nurse, working on the Medical/Surgical units, General Surgery, Heart and Vascular, Neurology and Oncology units for 8 years. She pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2015 from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University in October 2023. She loves to educate and encourage her patients in every area of their lives. She currently lives in Glen Burnie with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and trying new and adventurous activities. Nikki joined AIM in March 2024.

JAMIE E. JESSUP, C.R.N.P.

Jamie grew up in Newtown, Connecticut. She completed her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with minors in Biology and Psychology. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. She moved down to Baltimore, MD for her first nursing job at University of Maryland Medical Center where she worked on the cardiac surgery progressive care unit for 5 years. She went on to work as a local travel nurse before transitioning to work at an outpatient endoscopy center. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University in September 2023 and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jamie currently resides on Kent Island with her husband and their dog, Bear. She loves spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, reading and being outdoors, especially by the water.  Jamie joined the AIM team in April 2024.
